Ban Amphur

  • Ban (village) Amphur is a small, friendly fishing village just away from the rugged night of Pattaya. It has a typical local market and boasts many wonderful fish restaurants along the beach. You can eat fresh seafood here for very little money. Three of these are known all the way in Bangkok, namely Preecha, Seawan and the Malabar.

Ban Amphur. This small village has fantastic seafood restaurants, small shops and it's own pier where you can take a stroll in the evening to enjoy the sunset before dinner.

Bang Saree Village and Beach

A little bit further along the Sukhumvit Road you find Bang Saree Beach. Here you find several kilometres of golden sandy beach and the area is well know for its stilt restaurants serving marvellous seafood dishes. The area is so renowned for it's seafood that people from Bangkok take a 2 hour drive just to have dinner in Ban Amphur & Bang Saree.

Nong Nuch Garden

Our closest and most famous attraction is the Nong Nuch Tropical Garden. Just a few minutes drive. You find this vast landscaped garden with plants and flowers from all around the world. Inside the park there are also several restaurants, a mini zoo for the children, a spectacular Thai cultural show and a very entertaining elephant show. A visit to the Nong Nuch Gardens is a must when you are in this part of Thailand, and we are sure you will enjoy it weather or not you have green fingers yourself

Wat Yan Temple

Located next to a small lake the temple makes an idyllic scene at special festivals such as the annual Loy Kratong festival, when many patrons come to send their Kratong (floats made from flowers) into the water to pay respect to the water spirits, so that their lives will be prosperous. The kratong symbolises sending all things bad in a person's life out into the water so that the bad things no longer come to haunt the person sending the float into the water. The temple houses sculptures of the Buddha in all his reincarnations. This temple is popular with the royal family and also houses the head of the Buddhist order in Thailand. The Crown Prince has been assigned the responsibility for its running and upkeep. Across the lake you also find a Chinese mosaic temple that is worth visiting.

Kao Chi Jan Buddha Image

(Mountain Buddha) This painting of the sitting Buddha has been painted on the mountain wall using laser technique. At the foot of the image there is a park where you can walk and pray to the Buddha. For non Buddhist visitors the park has beautiful flowers and water features and is well worth a visit.

Suvale Silverlake

One of the few Silverlakes in Thailand is only a few minutes away. We strongly recommend visiting Suvale to try their produce. The scenic Silverlake is located next to a lake, and also offers beautiful walks inside the property.

The Pattaya region is home to many golf courses. We enjoy low green fees at many of these courses. The closest course is the Phoenix Golf Course with its' 27 holes, only 5 minutes away from Palm Grove. Other nearby golf courses are Siam Country Club (18), Bangphra International (36), Burapha Golf, Crystal Bay Resort (27), Eastern Star (18), Great Lake Golf Clubs (18), Khao Kheow (27), Leam Chabang (27), Mountain Shadow (18), Noble Place (27), Siracha Golf Clubs (18) and Treasure Hill (18).

The best shopping in Thailand is only a short ride on the bus into Pattaya City. Here you can choose from a wide variety of shopping malls. In North and South Pattaya you find the Big C shopping Centres. They offer retail shopping, groceries, restaurants, coffee shops along with clothing, jewelry and furnishings. The North Pattaya Big C also houses a 6 screen multiplex cinema showing Thai and foreign films in the original language with Thai Subtitles.

On Beach Road you find Mike Shopping Centre known for it's bargain clothes and art, and a bit further down the road you have Royal Garden Plaza, home to Ripleys Believe It Or Not. Royal Garden Plaza is run by the Marriot and offers high street shopping alongside local products. Royal Garden Plaza also has a 2 screen cinema.

The local branch of Carrefour is located on Central Pattaya Road. Apart from the Carrefour department store you find many restaurants and small shops offering handcrafts, beauty products and home decoration. There are also two branches of Tesco in Pattaya, one in North Pattaya and another one at the end of Thepprasit Road. Tesco offers the normal products of their department store, and also have food outlets and other shops incorporated in their buildings.

At the end of Thepprasit Road you also find the Outlet Mall, where you find clothing and home decoration shops with special offers all year round. The outlet mall is also the home to a Golf Equipment shop which is popular amongst golfers

Golden Beach

This popular beach is known for its windsurfing, kite flying and water-sports. The beach is lined with Tropical Pine Trees and makes a nice backdrop for a walk by the sea.

Ocean Marina

next door to our apartments. This is the only deep water marina on the Eastern Seaboard. Here you can book cruises and fishing trips. What is nicer than a sunset cruise where your fresh seafood dinner is served on board? If you prefer to eat on land, the Ocean Marina Restaurant has panoramic windows and apart from their excellent food they also offer you an exceptional view of the Gulf of Thailand.

In the bay of Pattaya you find many islands, the biggest one being Koh Larn. Koh larn has a ferry from Pattaya, but the other islands are more hard to reach. Why not take a day to venture to one of these uninhabited islands and enjoy some snorkelling, a beach pick nick and the privacy and peace that such a trip can offer.

Is a must for many when holidaying near tropical waters. There are plenty of opportunities for fishing in the area, both from land and from boats

There are several local dive clubs, so "newbies" and experienced divers alike are welcome.
